Charlie is eating like crazy. I gave him 4 bowls today he still finished them by 1am. I’m gonna have to buy him kale tomorrow. How can I say no to those big brown eyes when he sits in front of his empty dish?
Charlie’s been eating a lot still today, I guess he got his appetite back. I played wii after dinner and Charlie missed me. He came next door and sat in the hall looking at me over his shoulder. Poor bunny, he ran under the dresser when I came back into the room, but eventually settled down at my feet under my chair.
Charlie ate so much that he wanted his lunch at 9. He was thudding an empty bowl so I gave him an extra today. I tried to bring the tube in the room now that dad put supports on the sides. I had trouble finding a good place for it. I tried next to the dresser, but then he would hide behind it and I couldn’t see him. I put it alongside the foot of my bed for now. He’s been fussy because of all the movement. I was out of the room a lot today playing batman in Jason’s room and he actually came over to find me. Aww, all he wants to do is sit at my feet.
We clipped Charlie’s front paws and he was pretty good about it. Mom held him up and I clipped with the new clippers. They were better than the old ones, but I still don’t think they cut well enough and put too much strain on the digit. He doesn’t seem to mind it though. As long as his feet are off the ground he doesn’t pop. I was able to get him in the carrier easily both times. I sorta tricked him upstairs and I corralled him while he was seeping downstairs. Mom fed him lunch again today and he was good again.
Charlie has been so good with mom. Sometimes if she comes in our room he’ll still put up his tail and run, but hardly any hissing. Finally things are getting better between them. I was pulling tufts of fur from Charlie’s dewlap and he only let me do it while he was eating pellets. Don’t know if it was cause he was eating, or because I didn’t have to reach underneath him to get at his chin.
Mom had to feed Charlie lunch today and even though he hissed at her, he let her feed him and then ignored her while he ate. He seems to be eating better too. I noticed a black spot on his left dewclaw but he won’t let me examine it. I’ll have to wait until thursday, might be nothing. I tried to put him on mom’s bed to examine it, but he hopped off. I didn’t know he would do that from that height.
We had a bad storm last night that continued into today and Charlie did not like it. He was happy when I got home from school, but just then the power glitched on and off and stayed off for like an hour and a half. Charlie seemed upset at first, but I put on my ipod and eventually he went to sleep in his sandbox. I think he handled it better than anyone else. He hopped on my bed twice tonight, which he hasn’t done in a while. He did some binkys then, he really seems to like going up there.
I managed to chase Charlie out of my room and into the bathroom where I got him into his carrier. He sure is wiley. He did like going in his new carrier though, which we’ll be using the next time we go to the vet. He hopped onto the couch twice and did some binkys. I’m not sure if he was happy down there or just liked the extra room to run. He’s been getting so much better about not attacking mom and even sniffed her and let her pet him. Dad made a table for the fridge upstairs to sit on and so Charlie had to check it out while they were putting it in. He seems to like going under it.
Dad gave Charlie his new house and he was going nuts checking it out. I put my head down in front of him earlier and he nudged me. I don’t know if he was grooming me, or just telling me to get out of his way, but it was sweet.
Charlie has become quite clingy lately.
