Charlie was at one end of his tube and I stuck my head at the other and called him. He walked on through, I think the carpet makes it too narrow to hop unfortunately, and kissed noses with me when he got out.
Charlie let me use the red fuzz brush I got for my birthday on his back and sides. It doesn’t pull off a lot of fur, but it does take off the fluffies so I’m glad.
Charlie got really moody before dinner and I can’t figure out why. Later he mellowed and even hopped into mom’s room as she was going to bed. She put Fetch on the floor and he stared at him for so long. I went over to show Charlie it was okay and then he hopped right over. He still stayed a few inches away from Fetch though.
Charlie hopped up on my bed at 2:45am last night. I was like, bunny, I just went to bed! He eventually hopped off. I think it was because he had finished his pellets already. I put cardboard in front of my dresser to coax charlie into his carrier, but he ran into mom’s room and under her dresser. Eventually I had him cornered by the door and he reluctantly went in. It’s funny, he’ll walk in on his own and wait for me to lose the flap. He knows what I want, he just doesn’t like to give up without a fight. I had to pick him up to clean some poop off his foot later and he was not a happy bunny.
Charlie hopped on my bed 3 times this morning. He must have been bored and wanted to play. I decided to leave his parsley sticks whole and break them up at night. This way it won’t take me 2 hrs to sort his food twice a week.
I got to see Charlie waiting outside mom’s room at 8:30 this morning. He must do that everyday.
Charlie let me pluck a whole bunch of fur out twice tonight. He’ll get up if it hurts, but it I pet him he’ll sit down again and let me do more. He was rewarded with treats of course. So I’ve been leaving the bathroom door open when I go in ever since I got Charlie but he never follows me in. The one time I close the door, I open it to find him standing there. Aw. He’s always clingy when I least expect it.
We bought a couple of new baby blankets for Charlie since he likes to sit on those in his house. I think he likes them. I had some trouble getting him downstairs, he knows instantly when I move the carrier. He seems to be getting more stubborn but still eventually submits. It’s funny, when I prod him onward, he grunts back at me. I’d think most bunnies would run away, but not my boy. He didn’t like Jason’s movie. The gunshots were too loud so I soothed him throughout. I put his carrier on the table before taking him up because he had some dried poop stuck to his foot. I finally got it off and when I brought him up he didn’t flick his heels at me. Maybe he was glad I did it? I dunno. Later when mom had closed her door to change, he went over and knocked on it. She opened it and he went in and chewed at his towel even though she was there. He usually likes to do that when the room is empty. We think he thinks he’s not supposed to do it, but he doesn’t mind if I’m there.
Charlie came up on my bed at 9 this morning. He hasn’t done that in a while. I think he was bored because it was the weekend and everyone was still asleep. I tried to pet him and then I accidentally elbowed him and he ran down. While I cleaned his litterbox, I left the little one in front of my window because I didn’t want to have to move it. I came back to 15 poops in the corner where his box lives. I guess he considers that corner his litter box, regardless of what’s there. Charlie was stretched out in his house and he let me put on hand on his back and my other on his head. I pet him and we snuggled for a while.
Dad went to check on a noise this morning, and left their bedroom door open. Mom sees it open more and leans down to see Charlie periscoping up at her. He totally freaked and ran out. Aw. Later in the morning he sniffed dad and then tried to attack mom. While I was out, Charlie was very upset and hid under mom’s dresser for a while. I had undone my bed sheets and left the quilt piled up at the end while he was in the hall and then I left for class. When he returned to the room I think it scared him, but by the time I got home he was sleeping in his sandbox again. Poor bunny, mom and Jason tried to comfort him. In the evening Jason was running from mom’s room to get back to his room and bunny spotted him. He bolted back into my room. I was waiting for that happen. He was okay though and came back into the hall after I went in after him.
