Charlie didn’t eat as much today. He was not havin the curly parsley (and I won’t buy it anymore!) but even his pellets took awhile for him to finish. He must have been tired. He slept a lot and drank a lot. He was sweet to me all day, so I don’t think it’s anything to worry about.
Charlie was thuddin his dish at 9am so I had to feed him then. I planted some more carrots in the garden. He was sure fiesty tonight. He was in the hall under the dresser looking at mom and I tried to lay on the floor and he ran at me. Then she gave him some carrots and he did it again, 3 more times before he went home. I screamed the last time and he stopped and was looking at me like, wha happened? He scares me, so I scare him. I don’t blame him, but man is he jumpy.
Late last night, Charlie hopped up onto my bed. He hasn’t done that in awhile. Then, after my alarm had gone of a few times, he came up on the bed this morning to wake me up. And he wasn’t even hungry, he just wanted me to pet him. Awww. He was clingy today. He’s gotten used to the new pellet schedule and has started asking btwn times now. It’s so hard to tell him to wait.
Charlie still likes to go in the cage and munch on what’s left of the hay.
This morning Charlie was out of food and so when he heard the fridge open at 9:30am, he ran out into the hall and mom had to give him a carrot. She later gave him 2 more on the floor in the evening and he took them from her quite aggressively, but was nice about it. They are definitely getting along better, as long as she doesn’t startle him.
Charlie started pulling up carpet again, and just as I would look away, he’d start at it again. He also decided to chew chew chew the wood inside the closet. Don’t know why he gets these sudden urges.
Charlie’s been getting endless pellets to get him back on schedule and so he hasn’t been eating veggies as much. He’s back to regular by bedtime and is his normal, happy self as well.
Today was Charlie first holiday out. It went pretty well for him, though I didn’t fare quite as well as he did. Had just a bit of trouble getting him in the cage as he realized I was trying to corner him in somewhere. I carried the cage the whole day, but I’d need help in the future since it’s too heavy. Charlie fidgeted around in the car the whole way trying to find a steady spot, but laid down when I pet his back so I spent most of the time with my hand in the cage. I needed a pillow on top for my arm. On the way back we settled into the little litter pan which he did poop in a bit. He also pooed in the other cage corner but didn’t use the big litter box we brought.
He did seem to settle each car ride and at Debbie’s. He got unnerved by the dog at first and a bit by mom and Juliette, but did let Julie feed him some veggies. He didn’t each much though, only some hay and pellets, and hardly any water if at all. That sploshed too much, better off with a bottle. Didn’t eat much in the car other than hay either. He slept in the box I brought and liked to check out his perimeter from the fence. It’s much too noisy in the city for him (or me) though so I don’t think I’d like him to stay there overnight.
Getting everything ready for charlie’s first holiday. I bought a build a bear outfit and charlie loved playing with the bag. We went shopping for a new dresser but I only found 4in space underneath and mine is 8. So for now we think that dad may just sad the old one.
Charlie started chewing on the wood block but I got worried that it might not be good for him to eat but dad said it was kiln dried wood so it’s all right. I carried his cage down to the car for a fitting and that distracted him for awhile.
