It was humid and very windy today and I was afraid the wind was gonna knock things over and scare Charlie. He seemed to be pretty okay though. I took him to mom’s room for a carrot snack in the evening and he let her pet him while he ate.
Charlie hopped onto my bed after some encouragement and was fascinated by the changes. I think he liked looking at the room from the new angle. He’s been devouring his food lately, even the dandelions. I can hardly keep up with him!
We penned Charlie in while moving my bed today and he did not like it. He chewed mercilessly on his toy dog that was next to the fence. Once we were done and I let him out he had to run around and check out the changes in the room. Again, he seems to like them and be curious. I’m just happy to have some more floorspace back.
I moved some furniture today and Charlie was so engrossed with it. He had to check everything out from different angles and keeping trying to climb up the newly exposed wall. Aside from chewing on some wicker and trying to climb up my cd rack, I think it’ll be all right. I was worried he’d get upset from the changes but he seems to be excited about them. I guess more room to play in is better.
Charlie hopped on my bed twice today, once while I was on it. He really seems to like to go up there when things in the room change. He sat down to watch me earlier as I was rearranging my shelves. He keeps going over the headboard; I hope I can keep him away from it until we get rid of it this week.
While putting up stuff on shelves today, I scared Charlie and he thumped. Then later he slept under the dresser for hours in the evening, forgoing his pellets. I was worried about him, but eventually he came out to eat and then laid down under my chair.
I woke up at 9:30 to Charlie chewing on the rubber shelves in front of the dalmatians. He’s getting into everything while I rearrange the room. He looked behind the headboard, behind his house and up at the Muppet theater. Little troublemaker. I’ve been giving him a little fruit at dinner again, alt with carrots. I’ll watch his weight as well. While I was trying to snap my fingers for awhile, Charlie got scared and thumped. Once I stopped though he was okay. Such a sensitive little guy.
Clipped his toe nails today. He was very good about it and I was even able to carry him upstairs.
Charlie keeps tossing his toys into his dishes. Is he trying to give me hints? His new fav spot to be in right under my feet, surrounded by a blanket. It’s the bunny-cave. I was napping in the evening and woke up to a bunny hopping on me. I think he wanted me to get up. I also could feel it through the bed when he ran across the ground. Some power in those little tootsies.
Dad got these big, fat carrots today, but Charlie does not seem to like the tops very much. Jason tried practicing putting water on his neck to get him used to it when medicine comes again.
