No More Tap Lessons for Bella

Last week we noticed that Bella wasn’t her usual self.  She was sleeping a lot more end wasn’t digging.  When we noticed she was favoring her right front paw, we took her to the vet.  Apparently she dislocated a toe.  Fortunately it’s not very bad and will heal on its own.  Unfortunately, it’ll take 4 to 8 weeks.

So now both Bella and Charlie are in a small pen in my room.  I really hope it’s not eight weeks. Charlie just does not want to be stuck in here.  He’s constantly trying to get out and woke me up the last few nights by rattling the fence.  Now I have a cotton wads in the joints, so he decides to bite up the blankets.  He does seem to understand what’s going on though, and Bella is keeping off her paw.

The fun part is the medicine.  After using a syringe two times, and hating every minute of it, now I’m just spreading it on top of banana slices.  It’s gone in seconds. I really hope she gets better soon. It’s sad to see her taking it easy, when I know there’s a storm raging inside of her.

Our summer marathon of bunny-sitting begins soon. Apparently, everyone is going away in the end of July and beginning of August. Our house is going to be a carrot’s worst nightmare. Half a dozen hungry little jawsIt’s going to be a challenge!
